Holy Webworks Batman, MultiSiteManager for Wordpress!

Oh my, look at this. Just released (and still in beta form) is Alex Günsche’s management tool for backing up and upgrading all your wordpress sites. He says it’s 30 times faster that the usual ftp method. I’ll wait for after beta. But so far, the ratings are good. This could be a subversion alternative.
WordPress.Org themes

Thanks to Valdimir for noticing that WordPress.org has their theme browser back up and running. Only a few dozen themes so far, but so nice to have a hub.
First Subversion Upgrade a Snap

Went from 2.5.1 to 2.6 with the switch command as instructed by the WordPress gurus. Received a database upgrade prompt. Clicked ok. Everything appears to be working fine. Of course, I also took the sage advise of backing everything up first. So that took a few minutes.
Don’t Bogart that Theme?

Well, the theme designer Jim Mitchell references Humphrey the actor, not the old song. We like the Bogart theme for being simple. It’s now upgraded to comply with WordPress 2.6. So let’s see . . . .
WP Themer Kit Just Released

You’re looking at the raw “C” template — one of six (a single col, two double cols, and three triple cols) — that comes with the July 2008 release of WP Themer Kit. There is a video at the site showing where to go from here: wpthemerkit.com
Of course, we added the blueprint grid just for fun, because we can. And there is a Blueprint grid generator, if you want fewer columns or such.
